Design of Full-order Observer for PMSM Based on Current Prediction Model

This paper presents a design of full-order observer for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) based on current predictive control. The predictive controller is used to replace the traditional PI controller in the current loop, and the speed value observed by the observer is used as speed feedback to close the speed loop. At the same time, the observer’s observation error is compared with the actual load torque by suddenly loading and unloading the load. The actual results show that the observer can quickly and accurately observe the speed and load torque of the system, and obtain better control performance.
