Abstract By means of the technique described, the procedure of investing for soldering is eliminated. A minimum amount of solder is used, and the possibility of dimensional changes during soldering procedures is thus reduced. To date, eighty fixed partial dentures have been constructed by this technique, with only one failure. The failure was attributed to a faulty impression, since it was repeated with the same preparations, and a satisfactory result was produced. The technique has been used for appliances varying from two units to complete mouth reconstruction (Fig. 8).
