Usually, the detailed information for design the optimal solenoid valve is needed for supporting the high level valve to consumers. Also, some valves which are used for nuclear power plant cannot define the design parameters because there is no precise information about the object valve. Therefore, the designer tries to find the information from the inverse design data that was derived from the analysis of conventional valve or experimental results of one. In this paper, inverse design strategy for designing the Q-class solenoid valve for nuclear power plant is studied, and experimental setup is also suggested and manufactured. The flow rate of the valve for designing the valve open area and displacement is calculated, and the pressure characteristics of the valve for designing the attraction force are experimented and discussed.
