Shaking table test on frame shear wall structure with steel truss coupling beam

Steel truss coupling beam as a new type of coupling beam has excellent ductility and energy dissipation behavior. but the structural seismic behavior of the building with steel truss coupling beam remains to be studied.The dynamic characteristics and seismic response were studied by means of shaking table test on a 1∶ 5 scale model of a 12- story frame shear wall structure with steel truss coupling beam. The results show that this structure owns good deformation capacity because of the steel truss coupling beam and that it can satisfy the requirement for earthquake resistance. So frame shear wall structure with steel truss coupling beam has excellent aseismic behavior.
