Phenotypic Characterization of Marwari Goats under Field Conditions

India is a rich repository of goat genetic resources in the form of 34 well defined breeds (Anonymous, 2018). India ranks second in world in terms of goat population which is around 135.17 million. Rajasthan accounts for about 16.03% (21.66 million)of total goat population of Indian subcontinent. The state ranks first in goat population with having major goat breed such Marwari, Sirohi, Jhakrana and Barbari.
