Simulation of a water-stop rubber's installation course with nonlinear FEM

Considering the material nonlinear, geometry nonlinear and boundary nonlinear problems, some simulative calculation of a water-stop rubber's installation course, which is a kind of hyperelastic, incompressible and large deformation material, is carried out. And the large deformation characteristics of the rubber material and its deformation status are analyzed. Furthermore, the rubber branch head's stress distribution status and contact stress distribution between rubber and steel plates in the course of water-stop rubber's installation are calculated. Finally, some qualitative analysis of the water-stop rubber's characteristics is carried out so as to instruct the design of water-stop rubbers.
