Neyman-Pearson detection wirh distributed sensors

This paper considers the signal detection problem when multiple sensors are used for surveillance and a global decision is desired. Local decisions are fed to a data fusion center where a global decision is obtained using a fusion rule. Neyman-Pearson criterion is used for system optimization. Two problems are considered. The first one is to design the decision rules at the individual detectors, when the fusion rule is given. The second one is to find the optimum fusion rule, knowing the decision rules at the detectors.
