Three-dimensional steady state seepage, a finite volume approach

In this research, a new numerical seepage model is introduced. The computational domain is discretized by an irregular hexahedron element and the equations system is solved using an ADI iterative method. The proposed model is able to analyze any non-homogeneous and non-isotropic domain in steady state with natural boundary conditions for seepage flow. Miscellaneous examples are analyzed by the model and the results are compared with their existing analytical or other numerical solutions. The necessity of three-dimensional modeling has been showo through examples.
