A GENERALIZED PROGRAM FOR REFINED ANALYSIS OF PSEUDO SLAB BRIDGE DECKS

The paper proposes a computer aided method to analyze horizontally curved pseudo slab type bridge decks, using a finite difference formulation for solution of the equilibrium equation of a radially tapered curved plate. A method of consistent deformation has been followed for a multi span continuous curved deck. The one-directional difference method proposed is remarkably simple as it requires modal equilibrium equations only along the central radial line of the deck.
