Application of polymer metal oxide arresters on 110kV Zhong-Yue transmi ssion line

The lightning strikes happen frequently on the la rg e length of span of transmission lines.The principle and functions of the polym er metal oxide arresters(PMOA)for transmission lines are introduced in the pap er,and the application effects on110kV Zhong-Yue transmission lines are sho wn in the paper.Adopting PMOA on the towers is better measure for increasing re liability of transmission lines in mountain areas.
