As reabsorções radiculares múltiplas ou severas não estão relacionadas a fatores sistêmicos, suscetibilidade individual, tendência familiar e predisposição individual

. O turnover osseo ocorre devido a atividade ce-lular dos osteoblastos, osteocitos, macrofagos e clastos. Essas celulas se organizam em unidades multicelulares basicas ou osteorremodeladoras (BMUs) e recebem estimulos de mediadores sis-temicos e locais em receptores de superficie na membrana celular, especialmente nos osteoblas-tos e macrofagos
