MOTIVASI PETERNAK TERHADAP AKTIVITAS BUDIDAYA TERNAK SAPI POTONG DI KABUPATEN BURU PROVINSI MALUKU FARMERS MOTIVATION TO AVTIVITIES OF BEEF CATTLE LIVESTOCKS AT BURU REGENCY MALUKU PROVINCE

This study aims to determine the effect of farmer motivation (economic motivation, social motivation, and consolation motivation) to activity of beef cattle livestocks at Buru Maluku province. This study was conducted in August 2013 in the district of Buru namely : Waeapo Subdistrict , Lolong Guba Subdistrict and Waelata Subdistrict. Specific parameters as indicators in this study include motivation beef cattle breeders . The level of motivation of farmers consisting of : economic motivation, social motivation and consolation motivation. Some supporting data from relevant agencies, including : the natural state of the data, state population and breeding conditions in Buru. Descriptive statistical analysis, using frequency, mean, percentage, mean score and the mean total score. Measurements performed to determine the motivation of farmers who desire manifested in cattle farming activities to obtain maximum results. Motivation of farmers measured using a Likert scale technique. In order to study the effect of farmers motivation (economic motivation, social motivation and consolation motivation) to activity of beef cattle livestocks at Buru Regency then used the method of multiple linear regression analysis (multiple regression). Based on the results of multiple regression analysis found that economic motivation (X ), social motivation (X ) and 1 2 consolation motivation (X ) has significant effect activity of beef cattle livestocks. The conclusion of 3 this study is that the overall magnitude of the effect of economic motivation (X ), social motivation 1 (X ) and consolation motivation (X ) on activity of beef cattle livestocks (Y) are simultaneously 70.9 2 3 %. While the remaining 29.1 % is influenced by other factors not examined.
