The effect of notch radius on fracture toughness JIc

Abstract In the present paper the influence of notch radius on fracture toughness J Ic is studied using three point bending specimens made from mild steel. This study is principally based on the proportionality between the energy parameter J and the work done. In the present work, we considered the influence of notch radius on the coefficient of proportionality.
