Specifications for standard graphic output subroutines: as proposed by the share standard graphic output language committee

In a discussion with Jon Meads concerning standards (or rather the lack of standards) in Graphics, the subject of the SHARE Standard Granhic OutPut Language came up. This was produced bv a SHARE Committee in 1965 in response to a number of SHARE installations who had several plotters in-house and had a requirement to write application programs to a standardized interface. Plots could then be obtained from any one of the various plotters by running through the plot package for that particular piece of hardware.
