Families of fifth order Nyström methods for y″=f(x, y) and intervals of periodicity

In this paper all fifth order Nyström methods fory″=f(x, y) based on four evaluations off are presented. Furthermore, we prove that out of these methods there is only one with a non-vanishing interval of periodicity.ZusammenfassungIn dieser Arbeit werden sämtliche Nyström-Methoden fünfter Ordnung füry″=f(x, y) angegeben, welche vier Funktionsauswertungen pro Schritt benötigen. Es wird gezeigt, daß sich darunter nur eine einzige mit einem nichtleeren Periodizitätsintervall befindet.
