Peak-to-average power ratio reduction of OFDM using repeat-accumulate codes and selective mapping

There has been much interest in OFDM as a modulation technique for high-speed wireless networks due to its potential performance. The primary drawback of OFDM is a high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). We propose a simple method for reducing the PAPR while simultaneously providing robust error-correction using a modified repeat-accumulate (RA) code with iterative decoding.
