The damage effects of runway subjected to the penetrating-exploding tandem submunition were studied by using the numerical simulation assisted with experiment analysis.It focuses on the influence of the blast depth on the damage effects.The penetration and explosion effects can be continuously simulated by using Lagrangian and SPH algorithms.The simulated results show that the blast depth greatly influences the damage effects of anti-runway submunition;the crater area changes with the blast depth in a parabola curve;and an optimal blast depth exists in the given conditions.The mechanism analysis for the damage effect can be implemented by calculating different amounts of explosive energy absorbed by each layer of the runway.
