Cavity magnetic field measurements in ferrofluids

Abstract Cavity magnetic field measurements have been made as a function of applied field on several ferrofluids using a Hall probe magnetometer. It is shown that these measurements can predict the full magnetisation curves and that spot readings at a fixed large field can be used to quickly determine saturation magnetisation values.
