Micrococcus cerolyticus, nov. sp., an aerobic lipolytic organism isolated from the African honey-guide.

A micrococcus has been isolated from the droppings and intestinal contents of the African honey-guide. Because of its marked cerolytic activity, the organism has been named Micrococcus cerolyticus, nov. sp. A culture of this organism is being deposited at the American Type Culture Collection, Washington, D.C.
