Emotions and Mood States: Modeling, Elicitation, and Classification

This chapter reports on the current state of the art related to the study of autonomic nervous system (ANS) dynamics for mood and emotional-state assessment. Accordingly, several methodological approaches and guidelines for the development of an automatic system for an effective characterization and recognition of emotions are described along.
