The role of the diagonal operator in fuzzy topology

Abstract In this paper we reveal the exact role of the fuzzy versions of the diagonal condition of Kowalsky [2] and of the weak diagonal condition of E. Lowen-Colebunders [3], in the setting of convergence in fuzzy topology.
