The touch press key comprises a fingerprint recognition sensor and a pressure sensor which are respectively arranged under a transparent cover plate, wherein at least one of the fingerprint recognition sensor and the pressure sensor is electrically connected with a control unit. When the control unit determines that a pressure parameter, acquired by the pressure sensor, of the operation acting on the transparent cover plate is greater than a preset parameter threshold value, the fingerprint recognition sensor is in a working state under the control of the control unit. When the control unit determines that the pressure parameter, acquired by the pressure sensor, of the operation acting on the transparent cover plate is not greater than a preset parameter threshold value, the fingerprint recognition sensor is in a dormant state under the control of the control unit. The problem of hole forming in the transparent cover plate is solved, the effect of improving the strength of the transparent cover plate is achieved, the problem that the fingerprint recognition sensor is continuously in the working state and accordingly resource waste is caused is also solved, and the resource saving effect is achieved.
