Experimental Study on Flexural Behavior of Precast Concrete Sandwich Panels

Based on the flexural experiments of precast concrete sandwich panels (PCSPs), this paper primarily discusses the effects of pretressing force on the flexural behavior of concrete sandwich panels. The experiments show that PCSPs have excellent flexural behavior, stiffness and flexural capacity, which satisfy the requirements of codes. According to the flexural analysis, the equations of computation for cracking moment and ultimate moment of PCSPs have been proposed and the computation results match well with the experimental ones. These equations can be used for structural design.
