Research and Implementation of PPTP VPN-Based University Scientific Management Information System

this paper analyzes the functional requirements and technical features of Scientific Research Management Information System applied in virtual private network.With the instance of Scientific Research Management Information System Of College of Computer Science and Technology In Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications,a Virtual Private Network(VPN)scheme based on Point to Point Tunneling Protocol(PPTP) is designed for off-campus users to access the Scientific Research Management Information System in school.In this paper,we also put forward detail development and implementation process of remote access system for SRMS.The system has been applied and tested in our work well.
