Characteristics and Gap of Sport Shoes Patent from Sports Product Corporations between China and Abroad

This paper analyzes the spatial-temporal characteristics,patent quality,technical sphere and inventor cooperation network characteristics of sport shoes patent from several sports product corporations in China and abroad,including Nike,Lining,Anta and 360°,etc. The result shows that the patent application in Nike has had a rising trend since 1974; while some corporations in China,such as Lining,etc. started to pay attention to patent application since 2007. Besides the US Patent Office,Nike has paid a great attention to the patent protection from the World Patent Office, the European Patent Office and China Patent Office; while China corporations have limited their activity within China. The patent in Nike is characteristic of high quality,a large number of inventors and close cooperation. On the contrary,the patient in China product corporations is characterized by low quality,fewer inventors and poor team work.
