Robotic surgery

The application of an active surgical robot, the Surgical Assistant Robot for Prostatectomy (SARP), to transurethral resection of the prostate is discussed. SARP performs surgery under the supervision of a surgeon. The mechanical construction computing system, software, motion controller and image system of SARP are discussed.<<ETX>>
