Airborne SAR in an end-to-end system for sustainable forest management

An end-to-end information system for forest mapping and monitoring is discussed, in which the data are obtained from many available sensors. The role of airborne SAR in such a system is emphasized. User groups are identified, as well as their requirements, the system concept, and aspects of the implementation.
