Research on Component Models:A Survey

Component-based software reuse is considered an important and feasible approach to solving software crisis,and the component model which depicts the intrinsical features and the composition of components is one of the essential ingredients for realizing reuse.In this paper,we present an analysis of the current major software models and a taxonomy of component models according to their component interfaces and component compositions.This paper also presents a summary of the current component models,and a discussion on the future research topics.
