A broad look at the workings, types, and applications of fuel cells

Fuel cells are a fast growing technology that is ready to impact many different sectors of industry. In an effort to better understand fuel cells, an individual search into the fuel cell field was initiated. In this paper a description of what a fuel cell is, how it works, different applications of fuel cells, and different types of fuel cells are given. Also, some basic logistics behind fuel cells, and a brief view on their economics is discussed.
