Design of highly sensitive floors for human induced vibrations

Abstract This paper presents an assessment method that allows an easy design of floors for highly vibration sensitive equipment (i.e. nanotechnology) Therefore, the dynamic response of floors with different dynamic behaviors and due to different walking loads as well as different body weights are taken into account. The results are graphically visualized so that an easy tool for an engineer or planner is available to predict the floor vibrations due to human load and compare them with the VC-curves, which define vibration limits for different levels of manufacturing precision of the equipment.
