A cellular band personal communication system

In 1988 the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in GEN. Docket No. 87-930 adopted amendments to Parts 2 and 22 of its rules allowing cellular operators to provide auxiliary services within the cellular spectrum. MCC/Panasonic's Personal Communications Systems (PCS), described in this paper, complies with the FCC's auxiliary system requirements. MCC/Panasonic's PCS works as an adjunct providing wireless functionality to an existing PBX or Centrex.
