Primary Studies on Spray Droplets Distribution and Control Effects of Aerial Spraying Using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) against Wheat Midge

Field trials of application of UAV spraying against wheat midge were carried out in 2012.Results showed that:When using centrifugal atomizer to spray,the average droplet density on wheat head was 12.4cm2,1.5 times more than hydraulic nozzle.The droplets deposited on wheat head were denser than on middle and lower leaves.The control effect of 2.5% Bifenthrin ULV against wheat midge was 81.6% at the dose of 1500mL/hm2 diluted with 6000mL/hm2 water.In summary,The performance of using centrifugal atomizer in UAV was better than using hydraulic nozzle.
