Variations in the shape of the EMG power spectrum during an increasing force level

The goal of the'present study was to evaluate, for [WO elbow extensors, specific changes in the shape of the EMG power spectrum that are occurring across force levels. In order to do this, several statistical parameters describing the distribution of the power in the spectrum were calculated. From the results it can be concluded that skinfold thickness is a determining factor with regards to the shape and changes, across force levels, in the EMG power spectrum. It can also be noted that such changes are best characterized by a combination of different parameters.
