An analysis of burning hydrogen and the calculation of loads acting on the containment of a nuclear power station

An analysis of the possible conditions that may arise when burning the hydrogen released under the containment during severe accidents with melting of the core at a nuclear power station with a VVER-1000 reactor is presented. The loads that act on the dome of the containment as a result of burning the steam-hydrogen-air mixtures predicted by the 3D-code FIRECON are examined.
