Template Matching Technique for Panoramic Image Stitching

Panoramic images are a way of showing a new perspective of the world around us. Stitching images together to form panoramas allow us to visualize places in a way never before possible with traditional photography. This paper proposes a simple and efficient method for panoramic image stitching using template matching. The algorithm of template matching method is explained and results are provided. The results of image stitching using the proposed technique are further improved by incorporating the SIFT features of the images.
