WSN Node Design and Communication Realization Based on ZigBee Protocol

This paper introduced the protocol structure and characteristics of the wireless communication protocol ZigBee based on IEEE standard 802.15.4.It was proposed that basic frame of the all-purpose node in the Wireless Sensor Network(WSN) from the point of view of low-power and low-cost.An applicable and valuable hardware and software platform of the all-purpose node was designed.The nodes chose ZigBee protocol which is short distance wireless criterion.The interface of the RF chip with the MCU is accomplished utilizing a four wire Serial Peripheral Interface connection.The MCU communicated with the computer using USB.The solution of the hardware structure and software design was presented and a good consideration of its power consumption on the fact of hardware and software was made.
