Hardware-in-the-loop simulation for electro-control system of continuously variable transmission based on DSPACE

A hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation system is designed and established. The basic structure of electro-control system of continuously variable transmission (CVT) is analyzed. The hardware configuration and CAN protocol are designed. The mathematical models are built in detail, including engine model, CVT driveline model, ratio model, clamping force model and clutch model. The HIL simulation principle and structure are introduced. The parameters of our physical model and the driver model are given, and then the simulation result is given. Both the phenomena and result prove that the HIL simulation system is feasible and effective to the development of CVT electro-control system.
