현대화된 한옥의 대량에 대한 구조검토

In this paper the structural safety of the ridgepole used as the main structural member in modernized traditional Korean-style house was reviewed. As wood is highly affected by the various environmental conditions, we derived allowable design stress of the structural members in wood by applying correction factors. In general, structural members in traditional Korean-style house are tend to be designed somewhat excessive. The structural capacity of the ridgepole in the reviewed Korean-style house showed considerable margin, as the stress ratio to the allowable design stress was only about 40% level. We redesigned the sectional size of the ridgepole and finally suggested optimized section which has about 80% stress ratio.
