Development of ultra low-cost, high-capacity power generation system using drive motor and inverter for hybrid vehicle

Hybrid vehicles (HV) have originally been equipped with a high-capacity motor and inverter for driving. However, there is a great need for emergency power sources in the event of an earthquake or the like. This paper proposes a system that uses an HV drive motor and inverter to achieve high-capacity power generation from motor neutral points, and reports test results using a Toyota Prius.
