VISUAL INTERACTION DESIGN SPECIAL INTEREST AREA: INTERDISCIPLINARY DESIGN

Most of us have worked in design teams at one time or another. As visual interaction designers, we're accustomed to being the one graphic designer, or the one typographer, or the one human factors specialist in a team that is otherwise constructed entirely of computer scientists, or of engineers, or of psychologists. It's easy to think of ourselves as outsiders, foreigners who don't quite speak the language and aren't familiar with the customs of the rest of the team.
