Research on Hybrid Hub-Spoke Express Network Based on Multiple Transportation Modes

This paper establishes a model of express network based on multiple logistics nodes and multiple modes of transportation. The model is based on a hybrid hub-spoke express network. Logistics nodes can be directly connected to complete point-to-point transportation or indirectly through hubs. As transportation between hubs meets economies of scale, the unit cost will be reduced to a certain extent relative to the unit cost of point-to-point direct transportation. At the same time, the transportation mode between each logistics node can be selected. The express network aims to minimize the overall logistics cost. After given the material flow between different logistics nodes, the express network selects hub nodes and non-hub nodes, and the paths and transportation methods between different logistics nodes according to the model. Finally, this paper uses the improved ant colony algorithm to solve and compare the examples.
