Node structure for representing tactile information, method and system for transmitting tactile information using the same

A node structure for representing tactile information, and a method and a system for transmitting the tactile information by using the same are provided to form tactile video from the tactile information for driving a tactile presenting device, which includes actuators arranged in an array, and represent the tactile video together with media information in an MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group)-4 environment. An object data generator(110) generates tactile video representing driving intensity of an actuator array in a pixel intensity value based on media information, and generates a scene descriptor setting a time position of the tactile video and the media information. An encoder(120) encodes the generated object data and a multiplexer(130) generates one stream file by multiplexing the encoded information. The tactile video is represented in grayscale, and maps pixels of the tactile video to actuators of the actuator array according to dimension of the tactile video and the actuator array. The scene descriptor includes a node structure representing tactile information, which includes a URL(Uniform Resource Locator) field representing a position of the tactile video, and tactile video start and finish time fields.
