Surface Plasmon Resonance Imaging as a Tool to Monitor Biomolecular Interactions in an Array Based Format

N early all processes within a living organism are driven by biomolecular interactions. In order to fully understand the role of a newly discovered gene or protein within a biological system it is necessary to know what molecules it interacts with and what the possible outcomes of these interactions are. One consequence of biological diversity is that there are many potential interacting partners in living systems (e.g., DNA, RNA peptides, proteins, lipids, and carbohydrates)
