Water technology: time required for well interference tests

An equation is given which can be used to estimate the time required for a pressure change of few psi to appear at an observation well as a result of water injection or fluid production at nearby wells. The equation is not only good for a single water injection well or producing well, but may also be used for several injection and producing wells. The equation is best suited for reservoirs above the bubble point. An example calculation illustrates how to use this procedure to determine the time required for a 10 psi pressure-increase to occur at a producing well resulting from water injection.
