Human modeling for multi coalition joint operations

This paper focuses on modeling and simulation applied to scenarios related to multi-coalition joint-operations involving civilian and refugees; the study addresses the crucial issues to model different organizations, including non-military entities (i.e. Governmental and NGO) as well as the impact of human behaviors. The authors propose the use of an agent-driven simulation based on human behavioral models able to recreate very complex and extended scenarios including population and other non-conventional agents. In this paper the main goals for such kind of simulation are identified and described, as well as the possible mission environment where to apply the multi coalition joint operation simulation and the related models; in addition, it is proposed an HLA Federation structure able to be used in order to simulate this context.
