This paper describes about the reduction of booming noise in the passenger vehicle using TEST/CAE hybrid method and panel contribution analysis. In this approach, noise and vibration characteristics of the system can be studied systematically because modes and panels of vehicle that contribute to the interior noise are analyzed. Actual loads measured by transfer path analysis method are used for full vehicle level numerical analysis. As a result of the research, the booming noise is reduced effectively by structural modification of the panel having effects to the noise.
