Transmission of 1.2 Gbit/s Polarization-Multiplexed UWB signals in PON with 0.76 Bit/s/Hz spectral efficiency

The transmission of 1.2 Gbit/s polarization-multiplexed OFDM-based UWB signals in PON is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. This technique allows more than 25 km SSMF transmission reach with 0.76 Bit/s/Hz spectral efficiency.
