Dynamic Response and Input Adaptive Maximum Energy Converting Control of an Ocean Wave Energy Converter

This paper presents an adaptive load control strategy for a floating body type wave energy converter. Two nonlinear control laws for large oscillating movement between floating body and connecting link are applied and compared. Good control response assures maximum energy conversion and stable operation for high incident wave height.
