The invention discloses a detection system for spheres passing through approximately-isodiametric sphere-flow pipeline based on vibration signal processing and a method, and belongs to the technical field of detection equipment. The system comprises a signal sensing unit, a signal conditioning unit and a signal acquiring and processing unit. A vibration signal excited when a sphere is conveyed in the pipeline and is collided with the pipeline is acquired by utilizing a sensor, and further the signal is subjected to time-frequency combined analysis, so that the frequency characteristics of the pipeline vibration signal when the sphere is collided with the pipeline respectively in a target pipeline segment and in a non-target pipeline segment. When the detection task starts, the pipeline vibration signal is subjected to filtering by the system according to the frequency characteristics, and then rectification, filtering and weighting summation are performed, so that a processed signal is obtained; and by comparing the amplitude of the processed signal with a set threshold, whether the sphere reaches the target pipeline segment is detected, and the time when the sphere reaches the target pipeline segment is recorded. Experiments show that the system is simple in structure and easy to control, the detection result is accurate and reliable, and function requirements are satisfied.
