State Evaluation Algorithm Based on Catastrophe Progression Method of High Voltage Switchgears

State evaluation method of high-voltage switchgear is of great importance for constructing of the condition maintenance system of equipment in power grids. We proposed a state evaluation algorithm by using on-line detection data and taking switchgear information and daily defect into account. The algorithm based on the fuzzy theory combines with the catastrophe theory, hence it avoids relying on subjective weight, which is quite common in traditional methods. The algorithm helps to reflect insulation state of equipment from the aspect of catastrophe. Taking all factors influencing the switchgear's status into consideration, the algorithm can obtain reasonable evaluation results under the situation of insufficient parameters,meanwhile, it is easy to use. Analyses of the evaluation results and the on-line detective data based on field data from substations reveal that the proposed algorithm is proved to be effective and feasible.
